Hello Sisters! I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas this past week! Here are a few of the announcements from today:
1. The Young Women are starting an email list and blog of their own (isn't that great!!) We will put a link to their blog on here so it's easy to find, and they will link to our blog as well. If you have a daughter in YW and would like to get email updates please contact Annette Keeler.
2. We will also have a Provident Living blog. We are getting so high tech!! Lori Hooley is our Provident Living specialist, and she will have a blog where she posts all of the handouts that the stake gives to us regarding Provident Living. We will link to that blog from this one as well!
3. A few dates to note: January 8 is Scrapbooking at the church from 6-10 pm; January 11 is the Lunch Bunch at The Olive Garden at 11:30 am; January 21 is Book Club at Donna Barnes' home at 7:30 pm.
4. Lastly, we received a few updates today in Relief Society from Anne Worden (regarding her son) and Margot Gardiner's mom (regarding Evan). Anne said that her son has improved dramatically from a month ago when he was first put in the hospital. His brain functions have improved significantly and her son is doing well. An added bonus - he promised Anne he would come to church next week! Margot's mom stated that Evan's illness continues to progress. Their family appreciates the thoughts and prayers and support from everyone during this time.
I hope that you all have a very happy New Year. We'll see you in 2010!!

Another Announcement
Hello Sisters. I wanted to let you know that Angie Cummings' father was killed yesterday in an auto/pedestrian accident. I know that we have asked you to keep several people in your thoughts and prayers recently, but we would ask that you keep Angie and her family in your prayers as well this week.
Thank you.
Thank you.

November 29 Announcements
Hello Sisters!
You would think I would be better at updating this blog - but I'm not! Sorry that I've missed a few weeks! I wanted to give you the announcements for this week:
*Next Sunday is our Visiting Teaching Conference. Yay! The Bishop will be speaking to us, so it's sure to be great!
*December 12 is our Ward Christmas Brunch. We are putting together packages for the missionaries in our ward. Food and service - what could be more fun than that!! Mark your calendars now for yummy food and fun things to do!
*Choir practice is going on for the Christmas program. Although I've been banned from singing out loud in over 30 states, I know most of you have great voices! Come to choir practice at 4:05 in the chapel. I'll be the appreciative audience member who can't sing worth a lick but appreciates people who can!
*The Stake Christmas Fireside will be December 13 at the Stake Center.
I also wanted to let you know about a few things going on with some families in our ward. Anne Worden's son Michael has been in the hospital for the last week. His prognosis has not been good, but they have seen some significant improvements in his condition. Anne has asked that we remember Michael in our prayers and in our fast on Sunday if we can. Also, the Gardiner's received some discouraging news regarding Evan's tumor this last week. Please also try to remember their family in your prayers and fast this week as well.
We appreciate you sisters and everything you do to support and help each other, and serve each other in our ward and in our neighborhood. I'm grateful to know all of you!
